Placements in Education was founded in 1994 to assist schools to do away with apartheid in their staffrooms. Once that battle was won, we found there was an ongoing demand by employers for qualified and experienced staff with good references.
- We have worked with NGOs such as Education Africa and examining bodies such as Cambridge and IEB.
- We assist State Schools, Private Schools, Independent Schools and those who are owned by listed companies. Our fees are identical for all types of schools.
- We have conducted Executive Searches for Schools in South and Southern Africa.
- In 2002 we began assisting schools outside South Africa, and now have clients in Africa, Europe, Middle East, Asia, China and contacts in South America.
- In 1998 we started referring schools to experienced Education Consultants when they were seeking outside input.

What does it cost?
- For Teaching and Admin Staff Salaries under R550kpa
- Either an appointment fee for each appointment based on the experience and skills of the teacher appointed.
- Or a termly retainer which totals R22 000 per year – and then there is no fee for the appointment of teaching staff
- For Management Staff (Deputy Principal and Upwards)
- Either we only submit screened CVs for the position. Payment is a deposit and a fee if the employer appoints someone sent by PIE
- Or a full executive search with a fee payable in stages through the search
