Placements in Education will contact my current employer if I send a CV
No - we won't - unless you have given your current employer as a referee to your CV. However, once we begin to circulate your CV there is always the danger that the head of another school may contact your current employer, and while we ask them not to do this, we know it does happen. So if you want to move it is a good idea to let your employer know that you might be leaving (don't resign - just inform the employer that you might!)

I will have to pay Placements in Education to be on their database
No - you won't. The employers pay us to find staff for them. It is not legal in South Africa to charge someone to find them a job.
03
My employer will victimise me if they think I might leave
We know there are Principals who do this (and we know who some of them are too!) but on the whole Principals accept that staff do leave, and the sooner they know the easier it is to find a replacement.

I sent my CV and I haven't heard anything!
Then we did not receive your CV, please send it again. Every single CV receives a response UNLESS your CV was sent and refused - if you send it again it wont get a response!
